With only a few weeks left before our trip to the States, it is needless to say how excited we are! We are looking forward to seeing all of our friends, family, prayer partners, and financial supporters. We can’t wait to give reports of all the amazing work that God is doing through the ministries He has entrusted us with. We are eager to share about all the lessons we have learned from our experiences (good and bad) over the last 2-years of being in Nepal.

Despite our excitement for the two-months we will be in the States, we are reminded of all the work that still needs to be completed here before we leave. We do not want to “check-out“ early and want to be sure to be faithful with the big and small jobs we are currently involved with.

Salvation Church – Calvary Chapel Kathmandu
Pankaj has been enjoying teaching through the book of Romans. Our congregation is a mix of Nepali and English speakers from all around the world. Thanks to a generous donor, we are now able to offer bilingual services every week – while Pankaj preaches in Nepali, there is someone translating simultaneously in English through a headset.

It is awesome to see people from all different backgrounds and churches come every Saturday (Nepali church day) to learn from the verse-by-verse, expository teaching. This type of teaching is relatively new to the Nepali church and we have seen so much growth amongst the attendees. Several of them have even started to use this same method of teaching at their home Bible studies and churches.

Salvation Music Center
God has been using the Salvation Music Center and the teachers in a unique and powerful way. Although the school was first started to help the churches of Nepal by training future musicians, it has become very well known to non-Christians in the community as well. This opens many doors to share the gospel through teaching them worship songs and one-on-one sharing.

Due to schools being off for the summer, we have a large amount of new students enrolling in our music classes. This is good for two reasons: more opportunities to share the love of Christ with non-believing students and also more income for the school and Nepali, teaching staff! (haha!) We currently have over 60 students enrolled in classes but expect to have over 100 by the end of June.

This Saturday, May 7, the school will be hosting our 7th Annual Student Worship Concert. We are expecting at least 500 people to join with us so please keep this event in your prayers.

Inductive Bible Study Team
We are currently hosting a team of 11 people and holding 8 separate conferences for pastors and leaders throughout Nepal.

This past week, the team split into four teams and travelled to Dharan (far east Nepal), Hitarua (central Nepal), Dumre (midwest Nepal), and Jesus College (Kathmandu). Next week, the same four teams will travel to four more locations.

Please be praying for each group that goes out. Pray for travelling mercies and for the conferences to be a blessed time for all.

First Graduating CCBC Class
It is hard to believe that it has already been 2-years since our first class at CCBC Nepal! We have seen God provide in so many ways and have been encouraged to see the growth of the students that have followed through with their studies.

On May 20, 2016, we will be holding our very first graduation ceremony for 5 faithful students! We can’t wait to see what God will do through these graduates!
